Vestige of Time
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
Vestige of Time is a short psychological horror puzzle game where you explore the remnants of your nostalgic past to find items that will help you deal with the decaying present, this was made for the 2025 Snow Hornet Game Jam in a week using the Godot game engine. Aseprite was used for creating pixel art and sound was sourced from CC0 sources from freesound.org.
Created by bartkor12 with additional help from andrei45 who created a couple pixel art assets and helped with refining the story.
Game Walkthrough if you get stuck
There is a mirror in your bedroom, use it to travel between the past and the present. The past is clean whereas the present is dirty and unkept. You can get a crowbar from under your bed which can be used to pry open the drawer in the past in your bedroom, which then gives you a familiar key. The familiar key can be used to unlock your bedroom door. After unlocking the door, head to the bathroom in the past and collect the rusted key in the toilet bowl, and use that toilet key on the first closet in the living room (while in the present). You now get a remote from the closet, use that on the tv in the present to turn it on and gain 'Readiness' 'Readiness' can be used at the sink in the past to gain a medicine bottle The medicine bottle is used to brace yourself for entering the 'Kitchen', the room on the far right in the present.
